What does Holistic Land Use
Holistic simply means all the parts that make up the whole! In our
case, this can mean the Scalable process of feeding ones self or a community in balance with the natural environment. That environment can be
managed to be productive for humans, fauna and flora, creating a regenerative habitat. Offering enough
food for the local fauna, gives humans the chance to harvest what we
The Polyculture team that includes Scott and Haidee Robinson,
will help you create a comprehensive plan for your property.
Beneficial outcomes of a managed property plan can include:
- Healthy self sustaining landscape
- Regenerative low maintenance food production
- Water security
- Reduced fire risk
- Increased wildlife habitat and refuge
- Increased soil fertility
- Holistically managed live stock
Holistic Land Use, uses a combination of the following principles that
Scott Robinson and Haidee Robinson have spent a life time learning and implementing into our lives and
that of our clients.

Build Wealth in Your
We all need nutrient rich soil to keep plants,
animals and humans healthy.
Why keep doing the same things the same way
if they are not self sustaining?
By building top soil with full plant
cover, you are sequestering Carbon in your soil, increasing the diversity of necessary life
and moisture retention. 1 square metre of soil can hold up to 17 litres of

that can save your property from nutrient depletion, surface erosion and declining value. It is the only
way to hold water where it is needed, at the root zone!

Diversity with plants, animals and the interactions
between all living things in that environment is what can create a naturally regenerative landscape. Our role
is to assist nature by way of how we manage livestock and what we plant to feed ourselves and what we offer
to the native animals! These are some of the parts that make up the

Keeping chooks healthy without medications
is as simple as putting 1ml of unpasteurised ACV(Apple Cider Vinegar) in their water per chook per
day. We use a sealed container with water nipples for the chooks to access fresh clean water. We also recommend
adding 10 grams per kilo of feed per day of food grade DE (Diatomaceous Earth) in their feed. We also recommend
sprouting a mix of seeds to help boost their inner health. Those seeds release enzymes, vitamins B and K which all
helps keep chooks healthy! Also add a spoonful of ground up egg shell grit to their feed. This aids their
digestive system to break down food in their gut.
DE has been
shown to act as a natural de-wormer as it dehydrates parasites both internally and externally. At the very
least DE adds a good dose of trace minerals to their diet which can't be a bad thing on it's

Imagine growing fresh fish for
around $3/kilo! Aquaponics offers many possibilities if set up correctly!
Fresh water crays, Claws!
These little lovely's live off all sorts of organisms in the water in an integrated system &
they will feed you and your family for years to come!
It is advisable to purge any fresh water

also enhances the taste as if it came fresh from the ocean!
Goats and sheep can give you milk, cheese & meat
pigs can clean out undergrowth faster than any other animal and fertilise at the same time. They will
also eat what your cattle or sheep do not. Goat meat is the most widely eaten meat on the planet, so why not

keeping food fresh for
There are so
many great ways to keep excess food nutritious, healthy & fresh. Fermented foods have fantastic health benefits
for us & is a skill worth learning. Preserving fruit & veg in jars during their non growing season adds to
your recipe arsenal. Curing meats adds so much flavour you will wonder why you have not
done it all your life.
the best way to manage your surplus &
your health is by fermenting & preserving your foods to eat out of season produce, many of these foods release
